Mazon FP is the longest running men’s team in Illinois.
Pitcher Bryan Lathrop from Wisconsin(Evansville Bowl, New Image and Rice Orangemen) and 8 Time World Series Umpire Larry Wendt from Minnesota were inducted in the NAFA Hall of Fame during opening ceremonies.
Youngster Craig Lewis of Missouri who battled cancer and won threw out the first pitch at the ceremonies.

Defending Champ Keating Fitness of Pennsylvania looked impressive in their first game as did the Topeka Toros of Kansas. In AA Quarterfinal play today at 9:45 Keating faces the Topeka Wave who knocked off the Bar on the Avenue Buzz, the Toros face Wilkomm Mobil and giant Todd Lubkeman on the mound, ODIN FP from Minnesota edged the New York Bombers 4-2 and face Wilber Lime from Wisconsin who beat RW Sons Bronx from Saskatchewan, Shaw Chiropractic from Michigan plays Black Gold from Missouri and pitching ace Eric Steinbeck from Missouri who squeaked by the Rice Lake Orangemen and newly inducted Hall of Fame Pitcher Bryan Lathrop.

The first round winners play at 11:30 today in the round of 16 with Goshen Gators,Indiana facing Belleville Stallions, Illinois, RW & Sons Bronx, Saskatchewan facing Kelso FP, Missouri, Blues FP, Michigan faces Home Federal, Nebraska, Boise Idaho Riverdogs face Bol’s Lanes, Wisconsin, Frannys, Illinois plays Bar of Appleton Athletics, Wisconsin, KC Indios face Bedford Rays, Pennsylvania, Integrated Wellness Solutions from Ohio faces Crow Bar from South Dakota. Point Blank Tattoo/Wilson’s is waiting to play the winner of the tied game that is going extra innings at 9:45 between Hustle Hogs,Illinois and Sawdust City, Wisconsin that was postponed due to the park curfew at 10pm.
Weather…is perfect, fields are beautiful, Tournament Ceremonies went well and were well attended, players and fans gave the day high marks and look forward to a great day Friday.
