NAFA Classification Committee

  This group of people actually see more men’s Fastpitch every weekend and evening that any other group ever assembled to perform such a serious task. They are players, coaches, pitchers, sponsors, tournament directors and are from Canada, the Northwest, the Pacific Coast, the Midwest, the Great Lakes, and the East.

  Their function is to be as fair as possible in the hearing of appeals by teams and players who wish to play at a level other than what they have played at in the past or at a level different than their state director has approved or at a class different than what they have been re-classified for the next year based on their place of finish at any affiliation’s championship play.

  They lead the effort to keep the NAFA Pitcher and Team Classification List updated each week. They will use their eyes and ears at local events and at the NAFA World Series and other affiliation finals events to provide information to assist in keeping our game as fair for each team at each class as is humanly possible.

  When making an appeal, make it in writing on an email to the Executive Director, Benjie Hedgecock, nafafastpitch@gmail.com  and he will forward the appeal to the other members of the committee. Please include any information you have regarding results, past performance, present performance, comparable players or pitchers ability, and any other stats or info in your appeal so that we can make the best decision possible for the other teams in the class and for your player or team.

  All classification questions should first be directed towards your State/Provincial Director.  If you disagree with the decision made, the Classification Committee if your next option.
