The Executive Committee (a 9 to 17-person committee is appointed by the Executive Director, except for the President) meets in person annually at the National Meeting normally scheduled at the World Series and by email throughout the year.
The Executive Committee guides the rules and policies of NAFA as determined at the National Meeting and by email vote during the year. Each State Director or Area Director oversees the administration of these policies throughout the year and determines local guidelines for State Tournaments, Travel Leagues, and World Series Qualifying.
In between the National Meeting and email votes, the Executive Director guides the organization with the assistance of the Executive Committee, Vice Presidents, State & Area Directors & the National Classification Committee. Appointments (except the President) are for a 1-year term, ending on September 30th each year.
